Checklist
- Confirm when the benefit becomes available
- Record the expiration date in Perks Reminder
- Read redemption restrictions before planning around the value
- Use the benefit early enough to recover from booking or posting issues
Examples
- Free night certificates often have brand, property, or point-cap restrictions
- Companion fares usually require taxes and fees and may need a specific booking path
- Lounge or club passes can expire even if your card account remains open
- Anniversary points and bonus miles may post weeks after the account anniversary
Practical Tracking
For benefits that do not reimburse a purchase, mark them complete when you redeem or confirm they posted. Keep certificate numbers, booking references, and pass expiration dates in the issuer or loyalty account where the benefit is managed.
