Use the Delta Stays booking path, not a generic hotel site and not the hotel's direct booking page. The charge and confirmation should clearly connect to Delta Stays.
Booking Steps
- Start from the Delta Stays benefit link or Delta's hotel booking page.
- Choose a qualifying prepaid hotel rate when required.
- Pay with the Delta Amex card that has the benefit.
- Save the Delta Stays confirmation and the final hotel folio.
- Check the statement after the charge posts.
Practical Use
- Treat this as a hotel booking credit, not a general Delta credit.
- Use it when you already need a paid hotel night.
- Leave time before year-end in case the first booking does not trigger as expected.
Watch Outs
Delta Stays is separate from FHR/THC, travel portal credits, and Delta flight credits. Modification and refund behavior can be messy, so avoid building the plan around cancellations.
